Today, we’re thrilled to announce that, together, we have reached a highly symbolic yet meaningful milestone: 50K GitHub stars!
Strapi has come a long way since the first commit back in 2015, and we’re humbled to reach that number of GitHub stars and very grateful for the amazing community of users and contributors that have made this moment happen. Thank you for your trust, feedback, and words of encouragement at every step of the way!
With 50K stars, Strapi is now in the top 150 most popular repositories among the 28 million public on GitHub, and the best is yet to come:
As you probably know, being open-source and transparent has been part of our DNA from day 1. It is not just the Strapi codebase but also through contributions to upstream open-source projects such as Storybook, Webpack, and Babel, the open-sourcing of our company handbook, the Write for the Community program and Community Organization.
None of this would have been possible without the amazing Strapi community. To reinforce our commitment to open-source, we’d like to highlight the amazing work made by the Strapi Community Organization, thank the organizers of Strapi events, and acknowledge the amazing content made by the creators of the Write for the Community program.
We’re so excited to continue building the future of Strapi together. Looking forward to hitting the 100K stars!
Pierre created Strapi with Aurélien and Jim back in 2015. He's a strong believer in open-source, remote and people-first organizations. You can also find him regularly windsurfing or mountain-biking!
