We’re running a Plugin Week! Since we announced the new Strapi v4 last year, we’ve received some pretty overwhelming feedback and community interest around Strapi Plugins. We followed that up with a web marketplace release and then an in-app marketplace release.
Strapi Plugin install rates have been going through the roof doubling from around 300,000 before the launch to over 600,000 today.
As mentioned, we’re running a plugin week to celebrate this huge achievement with the community that enabled it. This will be from May 30th to June 3rd
The crowning event of this Plugin week is the very first Strapi Hackathon!
Our goal of the week is to celebrate plugin creators and show the power of Strapi plugins with sessions, workshops and hangouts!!
Here is what to expect:
May 30th
May 31st
June 1st
June 2nd
June 3rd
As mentioned, we’re hosting our first community hackathon! Here’s everything you need to know
What is a valid submission? Following the theme of the hackathon, we’ll have people create plugins that follow the plugin guidelines detailed by the Strapi team. A valid submission consists of you submitting your plugin via our marketplace submission form and filling in our hackathon submission form. Your plugin project on GitHub should be tagged #StrapiPluginWeek and a video demo (of at least 1 minute long) of your plugin.
For every plugin submitted, a team or individual will be given a 100 dollar gift-card for Open Collective to donate to their Open Source project of choice and Strapi will also donate an additional 100 dollars to an organization advocating underrepresented individuals in tech.
Besides this, we’ll have three main prizes
1st Prize - 1500 dollars
2nd Prize - 1000 dollars
3rd Prize - 500 dollars
We’ll have bonus prizes for the funniest/most creative plugin too - 400 dollars.
Well, we have a Tetris plugin, an SEO plugin, a Strapi Payments plugin so the sky's the limit. You can use our Canny page to see some of the community’s most requested plugins
Join our Discord and register your team (or yourself) on the event page.
We put together a Plugin page with curated plugin resources, everything you’ll need to build the plugins you need. Here are some other useful resources:
