We’ve got some great updates for you. First, we’ve cut down deployment times on Strapi Cloud from around 7 minutes to just 3 minutes on average. But that's not all—Strapi is now SOC2 certified, ensuring the highest standards of security and compliance.
We have some great news: We've cut the deployment time on Strapi Cloud from around 7 minutes to about 3 minutes. This change is all about making your workflow smoother and faster.
As developers, we know waiting for deployments can be a real drag. By cutting down deployment times, you can save time and get back to coding quicker. This boost in productivity means you can push updates and fixes faster, and your users will be happier since you can deliver new features and improvements without delay.
We made some key improvements to speed up the deployment process. One of the major changes was excluding the thousands of cache files generated by npm and yarn. By doing this, we drastically reduced the number of files that need to be processed when generating the final Docker image. This means a lot less time spent on file computation, making the whole process much faster.
To experience the faster deployments, just log in to your Strapi Cloud account and deploy your app as usual. If you're new to Strapi Cloud, it's a great time to give it a try and see the improvements for yourself.
Thanks for being part of the Strapi community. We're always working to make things better for you.
We’re happy to announce that Strapi has achieved SOC 2® Type 2 certification.
SOC 2® is one of the top security standards for SaaS companies, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
At Strapi, we take the security and privacy of your data seriously. That's why we went through the tough process of achieving SOC 2® certification, moving quickly from Type 1 to Type 2.
“We're proud to have achieved SOC 2® Type 2 certification! It’s proof of our commitment to meeting the highest security standards,” says Aurélien Georget, Strapi’s CPO and Co-Founder.
SOC stands for System and Organization Controls.
To get SOC 2® certified, an independent third party checked our controls and processes related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. For SOC 2 Type 2 certification, they monitored and verified the effectiveness of our controls over a period of time. Vanta, the third party we worked with, issued a final report with 0 noted exceptions. We received a “clean” audit from Vanta.
Our goal is to provide you with the highest level of security and privacy. We hope achieving SOC 2® Type 2 certification gives you even more confidence in Strapi.
You can read more about our security policies here. Our SOC 2® report is available upon request via our trust center.
In the admin interface, the NPS feedback frequency is now updated and we’ve swapped the lock icon for a lightning icon in the Settings and Navbar links for better clarity. For file uploads, we’ve optimized by using file paths instead of streams, which helps with sharp fragmentation and libvips caching.
In the admin module, we’ve fixed query validation in the Files' Admin API, swapped use-context-selector context with React Context for better performance, ensured the admin module waits for EE routes to load before rendering, and fixed the issue where EE wasn’t being extended due to a missing default export. For content management, we’ve fixed bulk publish so it doesn’t just show the first entry, fixed the back button on ListSettingsView, handled undefined content properly, and made sure validation compares pluralName and collectionName correctly in the content-type builder. In the database, we’ve fixed config merging with security middleware defaults and added prefixes to avoid join column name conflicts. We’ve also fixed failing e2e tests in content releases.
